Every owner of property in the Oakwood subdivision must pay dues to the OHA. This legal obligation is established by acceptance of a deed on (i.e., purchasing) property in Oakwood. Contact the OHA Secretary or your attorney if you have questions about how this obligation is established.
Dues assessment bills are sent out June 1st by first class mail to every lot owner in the Oakwood Subdivision. If your property is actually owned in the name of a trust, your bill will be sent to the recorded address of your trustee until you notify us otherwise. If you have not received a bill for your dues by June 15th, contact the OHA. OHA is not responsible for undelivered mail.

Payment of assessments are due on July 1st. Unpaid assessments become delinquent, subject to late charges and interest, after July 15th. as set forth in the OHA By-Laws. For 2003 that fee is $10. If the assessment is not paid by August 15, then the assessment shall bear interest, a the current Illinois legal rate, from August 15 until paid. If the assessment is not paid, the the OHA shall foreclose a lien on the property for the amount of the Assessment, late charge and interest accrued. An amount equal to the total of all costs associated with applying and removing the lien shall be added to the assessment.
